I love Paris!!!!!!!

As I already wrote in previous post, my trip to Paris was in September, there were some sunny days, but I had the chance to experience rainy day also, and as everybody knows Paris in rain has its own charm))) it is quite fascinating to walk under umbrella along the streets, bridges, embankment of Paris, especially when it becomes dark and all the lights are on, with the wet roads reflecting them, you feel like a character of some movie about Paris))

Anyway, the half of the rainy day I spent in the Louvre, and when i say the half of the day, i do not exaggerate, as you really need minimum 4-5 hours to spend there if you want to have just a quick look at what it contains, and if you want to have also an excursion with a guide, who will explain everything about all the items present in the Louvre, it takes time....
Also you need to walk quite a lot to get to the museum (this is one more thing I love about Paris - it gives you lots of destinations to walk to (with lots of squares, gardens, parks and avenues), of course if one doesn't like to walk, metro or taxi can take you just right to the place you want), beginning from the square with Egyptian obelisk, The Tuileries Garden, the Orangerie, the Carrousel arch and the Pyramid, all this takes a huge territory, which stupefies you with its beauty and magnificence. You surely need a map, to not get lost inside of the museum))) It was a surprise to see that all the description was in French and only few items in the museum were translated in English, and it was not a surprise at all to see the crowd in front of La Gioconda))

I was charmed by the Luxembourg Gardens, with much-coveted chairs and children floating sailboats on the pond, with big variety of flowers and plants, the Medici fountain and Luxembourg Palace. It is great to have a picnic here with french baguette and cheese))

Unfortunately i didn't get inside of the Catacombs of Paris, and i hope to be able to visit this place during my next visit to Paris. I also loved Latin quartier, which was full of life, music and people 24 hours a day. A real eye-opener was the Sainte-Chapelle, when you were going up the very narrow spiral stairs, you could hear people before you exclaiming their surprise and astonishment))

Another unexpected thing, the Eiffel tower in the evening, i knew that after dark it is lightened, but i didn't know that each hour it scintillates for several minutes, causing you the effect of goosebumps))

By the way, did you notice that all cafes and restaurants in Paris, those with the tables outside, have the chairs and tables put in rows, like you are in cinema or theatre)))

At the end, i want to say that Paris went beyond all my expectations, it offers much more than i could even imagine, there were lots of other churches, buildings, palaces, cathedrals, monuments on each corner. I can say that Paris is the city where you have to come back many times, and it will never stop astonishing you.... I do love Paris!!!:)
